Reading: - Ask and answer key question about detail in a text - Identify main topic and retell key details of a text - Identify the reasons an author gives to support points in a text Reading: On the test students will read the story, questions, and answers on their own Story: Frog and Toad – The Garden High Frequency Words: what, when Grammar:  Verbs for now and past (Root word of verbs) Inflected ending -ed  Spelling: dictation sentences are now graded Spelling Words – ask, asked, call, called, help, helped,  jog, jogged, plan, planned, when, what   Fry Words (read each word in 3 seconds each)   Focus on – live, me, back, give, most,                      very, after, thing, our just   Tested – over, new, sound, take, only,                  little, work, know, place, year    Math: Place Value Understanding number sense Comparing numbers to determine greater than, less than, equal to- through 120 57 < 95 Representing numbers showing tens and ones Social Science- AMSTI- animals 2 by 2 We will be learning the differences between gold fish and guppies Important  Information No school Jan. 20 Gotcha Party Jan. 24- Students must have 5 gotchas and a signed permission slip to attend Jan. 29-Year book sales begin.
