Week of January 20-24






Reading:

- Ask and answer key question about detail in a text

- Identify main topic and retell key details of a text

- Identify the reasons an author gives to support points in a text

Reading:
On the test students will read the story, questions, and answers on their own

Story: Frog and Toad – The Garden

High Frequency Words: what, when

Grammar:  Verbs for now and past
(Root word of verbs)

Inflected ending -ed

 Spelling: dictation sentences are now graded

Spelling Words – ask, asked, call, called, help, helped,
 jog, jogged, plan, planned, when, what

 

Fry Words (read each word in 3 seconds each)
